Meet the crew!
Morgan Smith
Mrs. Morgan (known to the students as miss morgan) is the owner and head teacher at our studio
She has studied at the Catherine Treon School of Dance since she was 3 and continued as a student through graduation.
She went to college at Bloomsburg University with a Major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Dance.
Since purchasing the studio, Morgan strives to continue the positive atmosphere that Cathy Treon had created in the many years of her teaching. She tries to always model her teaching style after Treon’s method of providing kind and gentle critiques to her students,
Catherine Treon
Catherine, the founder, first opened the Catherine Treon School of Dance in Danville in 1972, and a studio in Sunbury in 1980. Starting at age 16, Cathy had been a dance instructor for over 55 years before retiring.
Catherine has trained many students who continued past her training to become professional performers. But she is most proud of the students who have returned with their children/grandchildren, passing on their love of dance.
Catherine decided to offer the studio to Morgan in 2018, saying “I knew she would treat the students with good dance ethics and a similiar teaching style to my own.”
Cathy spends her retired time travelling as well as spending time with her family.
Summer Classes will be held in the Danville Studio only. Classes will be held on Wednesdays starting the first week of June. Classes will run until August 21, 2024.
Please note the beginner classes do not require any previous experience and do not require attendance in the school year session. They are open to all abilities. Summer @ CTSD
Adult summer dance
On thursdays throughout the summer, all-level adult classes will be held. Open to all 16 and up.
Princess Dance Camp
During the summer, for girls ages 3-8, a princess camp will be offered at the Danville studio. The students will have top of the notch training on how to be a princess. They will be trained through crafts, dances, stories, snacks and drinks.
